Greetings!  I'm Dee, founder and head designer at Shilohs Way - a #contempronesian jewellery company, born out of the desire to connect with my māori heritage whilst living away from my whenua and my people.

Our whānau of 4 reside on Yugumbeh Lands of Gold Coast, Australia.  My experiences growing up between both inner city Australia and various parts of Aotearoa, have shaped a unique perspective of what it means to me, to be maori and the shapes I see, when I feel māori designs being created within my minds eye.

The youngest of 7 children, innovative play, quick thinking and learning ability, and a desire to participate in activities observed from siblings, contributed to developing a strong creative mindset from an early age.  I feel extremely proud that I've not lost that sense of creativity - and thus Shilohs Way emerged.

Named after our daughter, Yva (Eva) Shiloh, our work embodies the essence of #contempronesian design, blending iconic māori motifs with futuristic design elements. This is our second year in this space and whilst we learn on the run, we're consistently grateful to have people like you investing time, interest and your precious koha with us.
